Governor of Louisiana and 2016 presidential candidate, Bobby Jindal, with the author.
Back in August we received an invitation to attend a town hall meeting in Marshalltown with Governor Bobby Jindal. We arrived just barely in time to find standing room. The room was packed when the governor of Louisiana came up to the front. I was left standing with the camera men, and some guy standing with his arms crossed who never clapped. Jindal gave a very interesting address, and we all were impressed. He sounded like he had some good plans and ideas. As governor, Jindal balanced the budget, and reduced the debt. He talked about the importance of legal immigration, and told about his father's experience coming to this country. He has a plan for changing Obama Care, and he has a good record as governor. Mr. Jindal is for a small government.
He was born in June, 1971, making him just 13 days younger than Marco Rubio, and gaining him the prize as the youngest candidate in the race! Jindal seemed sincere, and he seemed to be a real Christian. Afterward everyone in the audience was given as much time as they wanted to talk with Mr. Jindal and take pictures. Instead of being dressed in a suit and tie, he wore a regular shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots, and I think he would make a good president.
