What does God think about? God said in Isaiah 55:8, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Now why is God on a different thinking level than man whom He created in His own image?
Second Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.” Paul refers to the god of this world as the one who blinds the minds of the unbelievers.
It was not meant to be so in the beginning. In the Garden of Eden, man had fellowship with God and walked with Him, but sin ruined it all and man fell into a darkened state of separation from God. Not only so, but the Devil came into a position of rulership over the world. For six thousand years the devil has been working to create his kingdom on this earth. This is why man's thoughts are not God's thoughts. The Devil wants people to think his way, and the only way we can know God's thoughts is to read the Bible. The Bible says the Devil is the god of this world. When a person claims to believe in god, I wonder which god. The true God is revealed to man only in the face of Jesus Christ. All other gods are Satan's counterfeits.
New Christian converts struggle with smoking, drinking, cussing, lying, and adultery and rejoice when they gain the victory, but let me tell you the truth. Until you overcome the thought processes of the world and start to think like God does, you are just a babe in Christ. We must overcome the way our culture wants us to think. Do you think President Obama wants every child in America in preschool so they might learn Bible stories? Our culture wants ever child in preschool for only one reason: to start the brainwashing as soon as possible with the plan to create boys and girls in the image of Satan's mindset. Romans 12:2 says, “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. But be careful; once you think like God thinks you will be a peculiar person (1 Peter 2:9). The worldly-minded people will hate you (1 John 3:13), and you must be careful not to share your wisdom with the worldly ones (Matthew 7:6).
John 4:5-6 says, “They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”
