God's desire for a man is to make him like a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat of the summer sun. God wants a man who will be a shelter from the storms of life, a man who will provide shade and rest while you raise your children: a man who will lead the family to Christ.

It is OK to be patriotic: just like it is OK to like the Green Bay Packers rather than the Vikings. We all know nothing good comes from Minnesota. When you pick which country to be patriotic toward why would you pick a nation just because you were born there? That is like telling someone from Minnesota they must be a Viking fan. Why would a Christian ever be patriotic toward a nation that allows homosexuals to get married or a nation which allows abortions to be committed? Why would a Christian cheer for a nation of fornicators and adulterers wherein almost half the children are born outside of marriage? Why are Christians blinded by patriotism even as state after state legalizes dope and the public schools have become homosexual recruitment centers and the taverns are adultery connection centers? Will you be the last one to see this truth: a Christian must be patriotic only to Jesus Christ and his kingdom.
OK Bible students: does the Devil ever win? I will share my thoughts and perhaps you can share some aspect of this mystery I am missing. The Devil wins everyday. Every time a drunk driver kills a child the Devil won. With every adultery the Devil won. Each time a person becomes a reprobate and turns into a homosexual the Devil won. Every abortion is a victory for the Devil. Mankind is in a battle with the Devil and the Devil wins most of the battles. This is why we must be on guard because the Devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may eat. Does God ever lose? No God is always victorious, but you and I are living in the Devil's world and the Devil wins the battle with almost every person he fights. Never blame God for the evil we see. "Free will" and the Devil have worked together to keep the population of heaven rather low.
