Either God has lost His power, or else the ministries that look for handouts are not His servants. When the United States sends ambassadors to foreign lands, do the ambassadors go dumpster diving? Of course not! The U.S.A. provides for her servants. Do you mean to tell me God cannot provide for his servants? The sad truth is there are gospel organizations that teach ministries how to raise money. Please allow me to tell the truth. The Lord Jesus is a great provider; the first thing He teaches His servants is: God's servants do not ask for money.
If a ministry asks for money, it has not heard from God. Dear ministers, if the great God does not supply your needs without you being another gospel beggar, He is not sending you. Stay home. Find yourself a job and serve the Lord in your neighborhood. The gospel mendicants make Jesus look bad, and they muddy up the waters.
God's children are generous, and the gospel beggars take advantage of God's children. God is not pleased. And I have a message for you pastors who think you need to live a life of ease and leisure to enable you to preach a 15-minute sermon on Sunday morning. You are supposed to be an example to the flock. Do the men of your flock work? If yes, then go get a job, so you can show the men how it is better to give than to receive. Any pastor who thinks he deserves one tenth of your income for a fifteen minute sermon has not heard from God.
The true servant of God does not simply talk about the goodness of giving all the while he has his hand out: the true servant gives.
