Have you ever baked a cake? Think of the ingredients. Could you eat a spoonful of baking powder? How about a spoonful of flour or shortening? Separately, each ingredient is inedible, but mixed together they can make a delicious cake.
God knows which ingredients to add to your life to make you the person He wants you to be. And you can be sure the devil will add to your life also (remember Job). When a little baking powder is added, endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Faith never gives up. A beautiful song promises, “You've got to hold on. Don't give up whatever you do, for up ahead, around the bend, the battle is almost through.”
Remember the recipe found in Romans 5: “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
This life, with all its problems, is a wonderful thing God has given us. This life is our only time to work out our salvation. It is our only time to face adversity and stand true to Christ. When you leave this life, you are sealed into your present condition for all eternity. Be sure to leave here as a victorious Christian.
