You know who you are. You have been quickened into newness of life and love your powerful Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. You have forsaken the fleshpots of Egypt and wonder why many of your church friends have not. You live a victorious Christian life, and the study of the Holy Scriptures is your chief delight. These verses are for you. Heaven is for you. May your God comfort you as you consider these Bible verses for overcomers.
1 John 5:18-19, “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”
Revelations 2:26-27, “He that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I have received of my Father.”
Philippians 3:14, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Daniel 7:18, “The saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.”
Galations 5:16 and 24, “This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh...They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Romans 8:12-14, “Brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
Revelations 3:21, “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
1 Peter 2:9, “Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
Romans 8:4, “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
1 Peter 1: 14-16, “As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 John 3:6-8, “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil.”
Jude 4, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness.”
Revelations 3:9, “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet and to know that I have loved thee.”
Malachi 4:3, “Ye shall tread down the wicked: for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Daniel 12:3, “They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
Psalm 18:32, “It is God that girdeth me with strength, and that maketh my way perfect.”
Dear victorious ones, you have overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, and are perplexed to see your church friends becoming more and more wordly. Do not be surprised. The great falling away has been happening for over 100 years, and every plant that has not been planted by our heavenly Father will be revealed for what it is.
On Judgment Day you must stand with the saints of every century. Do not be like the
worldly bunch that claim to be Christians and yet never can get the victory over sin. The true Lord Jesus Christ gives power to live a victorious life. The powerless Christianity is not worth having. Avoid those who are quick to defend sin.
